Pune Times Fashion Week 2018 - Day 01: 'Spirit Of Sha' & 'Shalaka Couture' By Shalaka Pandit

Shalaka Pandit gets inspired from life and all it entails, the people she interacts with and the life she lives.

Quite like myself, she gains power from music.

A strong supporter of the 'Make In India' initiative, this designer ensures that all resources she requires to create her amazing designs are sourced solely from within India. Hats off to that!

As I sat there watching the models sashay on the runway in her creations, I witnessed the new dawn of fashion in India.

The artiste is a pioneer. An exemplary human being, this designer hopes to not only share her works of art with the world, but also help empower and improve the conditions of the impoverished.

The 'Spirit Of Spa' showed me that a new faction in Indian fashion is on the rise, the 'Indie-Boho'. Although this genre of style is equivalent to the 'normcore' statement followed by the masses in India, her take cast a refreshed perspective.

And the ensembles of 'Shalaka Couture' made me feel as if the age of Indian Royalty was having a major comeback. Not in the literal sense, but what I mean is that anywhere wearing her designs would definitely seem like royalty. The silhouettes, the colors and the bold simplicity: Love It!

Chitrangada Singh and Kunal Kapoor definitely looked awesome in their outfits as they walked the ramp for her.

Check out the images below, and you might fall in love with her work as I did.
