Pune Times Fashion Week 2018 - Day 01: 'Golden Thimble' by Shaina NC

Ready, set, Pune Times Fashion Week 2018!

Day 01 began with Shaina NC presenting the 'Golden Thimble' collection.

Shaina Nana Chudasama, better known as Shaina NC, is a fashion designer, politician and social worker. 

Famously known as the 'Queen of Drapes' in the Indian fashion industry for draping a saree in fifty-four different ways, she truly is the Queen.

The highlight of her show was her declaration to share a portion of the proceeds from the sales with charities involved in Breast Cancer awareness, relief & research; a most commendable initiative.

'Fashion with a purpose' personified, that's Shaina NC!

Her interpretation of the traditional Indian ethnic silhouettes is what left me in awe; and not to mention the beautiful colors she chose for the palette of her collection.

As this show concluded, I couldn't help but feel proud of her. I do not know her personally, but I suppose it's safe to say this lady will bring the Indian Fashion Fraternity to an all new height.
